Although he wanted to write the great American novel, Fitzgerald thought he had failed as a writer. It would take future generations to realize that The Great Gatsby was indeed a masterpiece, a classic portrait of The Roaring Twenties and The Jazz Age.
Visiting film and literature scholar Lance Rhoades will share the story of the life of Fitzgerald and the legacy of The Great Gatsby.
