I have revisited this book throughout the year with such affection. The audio book is so calming and the illustration style in the book is so beautiful in its simplicity. Each character represents a different part of ourself, all on the same journey to find home and where they belong. It’s been a #1 New York Times bestseller, but in an interview with Paul Carrick Brunson, Charlie speaks about a young person who read his book and because of it, he decided to stay… “in the queue?” Charlie asked. “No, alive,” replied the young reader. I’m paraphrasing, but it’s no less moving to hear that a book can do that for someone.
